Weather Resiliency

Preparing our Community for Weather Events

UCo Health is a Local governmental organization dedicated to promoting public health and well-being through strategic partnerships and collaborations.

By working closely with various stakeholders, UCo Health is actively involved in developing climate adaptation plans to ensure that all members of society have equal access to healthcare services.

Our efforts aim to mitigate the impacts of climate change on vulnerable communities and strengthen resilience, ensuring that health equity is at the forefront of our initiatives.

Modernization and the Climate

As extreme weather events such as wildfires, floods, excessive heat, and poor air quality continue to rise, both locally and globally, weather resiliency has become a priority for Eastern Oregon. With modernization efforts across the state, it's essential to prepare our communities to face these challenges head-on.

Building Resiliency for the Future

The Healthy Oregon Modernization East (HOME) project is committed to helping Eastern Oregon counties adapt to climate change through comprehensive climate adaptation planning and by addressing health equity in our communities. Modernization efforts focus on enhancing the climate resilience of our region's public health systems, infrastructure, and preparedness for future weather-related crises.

Current Weather Conditions and Forecast

Real-time weather information is a critical tool for climate resiliency planning.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) provides up-to-date maps and forecasts that help communities stay informed and prepared for any developing weather conditions. Stay informed and use this tool as part of your climate adaptation strategies.
